Work Wise Week 2006
Wednesday 3 May - Tuesday 9 May, 2006

Our first event will be Work Wise Week, which will run from Wednesday May 3 to Tuesday May 9 (not a traditional working week), consisting of a series of events and themed days, including National Work from Home Day on Friday 5 May.Work Wise Week will consist of the following themed days:

 

Wednesday 3 May
Launch and summit, QE2 Conference Centre

 

Thursday 4 May
Focus upon the transport benefits of working smarter - less travel, lower congestion, less over-crowding on public transport.

 

Friday 5 May
NATIONAL WORK FROM HOME DAY
Focus upon the social benefits of working smarter - better work-life balance, more leisure time, less stress, better health and happier, more contented staff

 

Saturday 6 May
Preview of the business benefits on working smarter.

 

Sunday 7 May
Sunday: a day of rest for most, but not all. Focus on those people who have to, or choose to, work at weekends.

 

Monday 8 May
Focus on the business benefits of working smarter - greater productivity, less time wasted travelling, more contented workforce, more committed, better motivated.

 

Tuesday 9 May
Focus on the environmental benefits of working smarter - impact upon city pollution of less congestion, of lower travel needs, and ultimately of less infrastructure.
