Regional/UK Events

A series of events are currently being devised to take place throughout the United Kingdom which will bring the national agenda to a local level.  If you would like to discuss how your organisation could partner with the IT Forum Foundation in holding an event please click here.

Centre of Excellence for Smarter Working Practices
As part of the campaign, WWUK has conceived and is building a Centre of Excellence, which will serve as a comprehensive repository of strategic, tactical and operational tools, case studies, guides and other data including algorithms for calculating the tangible benefits of working smarter.

Through the establishment of this Centre, we shall then engage in a far-reaching programme of research involving the collation and dissemination of data pertaining to the adoption and deployment of smarter working practices within the public sector, supporting  the Office of Government Commerce High Performing Property Asset Management Scheme, and more specifically the ministerial development plan.

As an independent evaluator  Work Wise UK uniquely positioned identify future research strategies and to consider for example, the key recommendations of the Gershon report in the context of the significant advances in  communications technology, which have been  made since the report was published.

Work Wise UK would also be looking to consider the exploitation of anomalous data acquired through this research programme, with a view to generating additional research leads.

Knowledge Transfer Network
In addition to the provision of static resources, which are available to the UK citizen, Work Wise UK is establishing dynamic knowledge transfer network to allow organisations from every sector to share best practice. Key deliverables of such a network include,
  •  Exclusive public sector extranet
  •  Sharing of best practice methodology
  •  A forum to share ideas and experiences
  •  A system for putting together work-groups for programmes to increase productivity via the adoption of smarter working practices.

A knowledge transfer network will also generate case studies material and other data, which is then fed back to the resource library in the Centre of Excellence.
