Terry left BT in 1999 and formed his own company KMS-IT Limited with the aim of providing cost effective Education and Consultancy relating to Information Technology specifically, but also providing an awareness of Quality Standard ISO/9000 and Investors in People (IiP).
Despite its small size, KMS-IT Limited exploits Broadband capabilities to the full and has clients on four continents, Australasia being the odd one out currently.
In December 2004 Terry was accredited under the Technology Means Business scheme, and has subsequently gained approval as a Work wise Advisor.
Time is allocated each summer to acting in the capacity of mentor for students engaged in the Enterprise Challenge, run by Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam Universities. This is a business competition aimed at fostering entrepreneurial skills and involves much more the just Information Technology.
